Valley Fight League Rebounding From Altoona Disaster; VFL 43 to Take Place in October

VFLLogoJuly 19th, 2013 is a night that may very well live in infamy, especially to the men and women, the fight fans, of the Logan Valley. The Jaffa Mosque throw down was scheduled to have twelve MMA fights and at bell time, only three were given the green light to go by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission.

July 19th was dripping in the worst-case-scenarios that any fight promotion could have expected: contract disputes, guys not making weight and the State Athletic Commission not approving guys to fight. Fighters were angry, fans were angry and the media had the difficult job of having to report on the downturn of an event that they had very high hopes for. Speculation ran rampant that Valley Fight League may be forced to stop promoting.

The speculation ends now. Valley Fight League promoter Lionel Royer has posted the next official fight card on MixedMartialArts.Com and the forty-third installment of VFL is headed to West Virginia. VFL and Royer are currently in the planning stages of their card but Amateur Roman Swaner (2-0-0)has been given the top seeding on the card. The fight card is scheduled for October 26th and a lot can change until late October.

Also on the card is Susan Arnoult (0-1-0), an opponent for Arnoult has not yet been named. Zack Reinhart is scheduled to fight Frank Small; Josh Epps, Harold Hubbard and Mike Smith are also scheduled to make appearances for VFL 43.

While it is not confirmed, Valley Fight League historically includes boxing and/or kickboxing on their MMA cards.
