North by South East Prospect Report: Khama “The Deathstar” Worthy

The North by South East (NxSE) Prospect Report is a new regular feature at CageNationTV.Com. We have the good fortune to have great relationships with promoters and athletes in the Northern regions as well as the South East. Cage Nation TV was founded on the premise to do as much as we can to draw attention and public embrace to the sport we love and the athletes who make it possible. We want our Northern athletes to meet Southern Promoters and vice versa!

If you have a suggestion for an athlete to be mentioned on the NxSE Prospect Report, please send us an email at, a Facebook message, or contact us on twitter @CageNationTV.

Thank you for being there with us and supporting us through the years!

Khama “The Deathstar” Worthy

  • Pro Record: 9-5-0
  • Fights out of: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
  • Trains with The Academy out of Cherico Martial Arts Academy
  • 30 years old

The man known as “The Deathstar” is easily one of the most prolific fighters to come out of the Steel City. Khama Worthy began his martial arts journey in 2009, launching his amateur career against Brian Rivera in the North Eastern precursor promotion “Cage of Chaos.” Since his MMA debut, Khama Worthy has been involved in classic bouts with such Pittsburgh mainstays as Francis “The Mad Dog” Healy, Jason “The Whip” Willett, Matt DiMarcantonio, and Adrian Vilaca.

Worthy trains with a lot of guys who are very good on the mat, and does have submission skills of his own. What makes Khama Worthy such an impressive competitor is his well-rounded abilities in the cage. The majority of Worthy’s fights have been won by knockout/technical knockout, but has still demonstrated the conditioning and gas-tank to go to a decision and still be ready to go another round or two. Worthy is a working veteran of every major MMA promotion in the greater Pittsburgh and Ohio Valley Regions; Khama Worthy’s bouts have been televised for the King of the Cage (KOTC) promotion.
