“The Pride of Bloomfield” Mark Cherico
- Pro Record: 11-1-0
- Fights out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
- Traditionally fights at Featherweight
- Extensive regional title fight experience
“The Pride of Bloomfield” is one of the mainstay names in Pittsburgh / Ohio Valley Mixed Martial Arts. Cherico boasted a flawless amateur record, which featured bouts with “the Mad Dog” Francis Healy, and Mike Putnam.
As a pro, Cherico went on a two year undefeated streak that spanned seven bouts, a title win, and a title defense. In his pro career, Mark Cherico has displayed expertise in striking, submissions, and thorough conditioning to take the fight the distance. In his victory over Nate “the Train” Landwehr, Cherico simultaneously held the Pinnacle FC and Gladiators of the Cage Featherweight champion; considering that those two promotions are the largest promotions in Pittsburgh, Mark Cherico was arguably the undisputed Featherweight champion of Pittsburgh until he retired that evening.
Mark Cherico has since come out of retirement and has been very active in the world of combat sports. Cherico owns and operates the Cherico Martial Arts Academy, he trains UFC Heavyweight Adam “The Prototype” Milstead, and has associations with Cody “No Love” Garbrandt when he’s training for bouts. Cherico is undefeated post retirement.
